spent my last night in Turkey here and hat a lovely way to say goodbye to the country. Fantastic views, fantastic food and a lovely welcome. I will be back
Found by accident and what an accident! Great food great view and the staff arnt bad either. I cant recomend this resturant enough.
A great place, excellent food, brilliant surroundings thoroughly enjoy going, very friendly staff.
kings Garden is more than just a restuarant; it was a special memory to remember. The environment is one that it would be suitable for any one who who wishes to dine there. My evening was one where I wanted to enjoy a romantic evening with my husband, but I saw equally a couple of larger groups of what appeared to be family and friends enjoying, relaxing and staying for some time. We never feel rushed. it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can take your time and enjoy the home cooked food, the incredible panoramic view across Fethiye and the relaxed atmosphere. The proprietor even recomended that if we wanted we could enjoy the sun set view from the entrance to the tombs themselves between starter and our main course, which again allowed this to be more of an experience than just a meal. We could have easily stayed in the restaurant though as the view from inside is still magical, whether in daylight, dusk or night. We know this because we returned again during our holiday and felt equally relaxed and enjoyed the food equally well. The staff are professional and knowledgeable, and the cooking authentic. Also I was impressed by the organic wines on offer which were no more expensive than average wine prices in Fethiye but were definitely more quaffable. A glass of white accompanying the skillet sizzling prawn starter I definitely recommend. This restaurant is a real treasure of a find. If you want to return from your holidays with a memory of a lovely evening you should go, but as I found out from the proprietor when he chatted to us, alot of the guests were people that lived all year round in Fethiye so I think, that has to say alot too! :) A must visit....or two!....during your holiday.
This restaurant is well worth the trip, you are up in the mountain so have a great view of the sunset and after ordering your meal you have enough time to visit the tombs which are up even higher. reached by a flight of steps carved into the mountain. The views are magnificent, the food is good, a varied choice of Turkish or English and the service is excellent. Made to feel very welcome and they will pick you up from where you are staying and then take you back later.
First went to visit Kings Garden after some friend I knew who lived in the area recommended it to me. Its one of those lovely restaurants that you'd never wonder across without someone pointing you in the right direction. Its a great shame for those who miss it since its a real treat for those passing by.
The view over the bay at night are spectacular thanks to the restaurants location high up in the hills. One of my favourite parts of the location is that after you've had your starter you can take the walk up to the rock tombs while your main cooks
During my time visiting Fethiye I was lucky enough to eat here a few times and ive yet to have anything I didn't love. There was plenty to choose from tradition Turkish dishes to steaks for those not feeling culturally adventurous.
The staff were helpful, friendly and more than happy to make any changes to suit our parties need. Made us feel right at home and drove us back to the hotel at the end of the evening
You need to search to find it but when you do the reward is well worth the trip!
We visited Kings Garden on the last night of our honeymoon. We were approched on OluDeniz beach by a guy asking if we would like to visit his resturant. He said they would pick us up at our hotel and take us back when we had finished. We were alittle dubious at first but we agreed to go. We were amazed when we got there, absolutly stunning surrounding. When we approched the restaurant (after been picked up by mini bus) it was along a little back street that we would never have found if we hadnt been picked up and behind the restaurant were ancient tombs and as you sat in the resturant you have georgous views of Fethiye.
The food was amazing and service and hospitality was excellent.
The last night of our honeymoon was made so special by finding this hidden gem, If your visiting Fethiye visiting the Kings Garden restaurant is a must. We hope to visit again in the future.
I have been working in turkey for the last two years in the Fethiye area and The Kings Garden is always my favourite place to go for a meal.
It has the most amazing setting right next to the famous rock tombs and the restaurant offers a very romantic view over the town and sea, especially at sunset.
The food is out of this world and the menu will leave you spoilt for choice with real Turkish traditional dishes to pizza’s. I also defiantly recommend the Sunday dinner there, Just like mam makes !!
The staff are extremely friendly, especially Salih who runs the family business. Salih is very proud of the restaurant and is always on hand to recommend any dishes or wine choices. The kings garden has a cracking wine selection too, it even boasts some organic wines that are really lovely and don’t break the bank.
The restaurant will pick you up and return you to the hotel at the end of the evening which means there is no worry for taxis either.
Make sure you put it on your “to do” list for when you visit the fethiye area. An evening out guaranteed not to disappoint !! Enjoy !!
We go to Kings Garden from time to time, especially for Sunday Lunch when the food is always well prepared, fresh and served with a comment and smile. Places like KIngs Garden go through hard times during the off season and Salih (mine host) deserves a medal for being always welcoming and coming up with fresh ideas to attract customers. The views from the restaurant are breathtaking, take a map with you and identify the local surroundings. This year with the snow atop the mountains the place provides a near out of body experience. Very well worth a visit.
